Natalie Colavito is a 22 year old breath of fresh air on the air on the Australian music scene.

She is currently studying at The Australian Institute of Music in Sydney to achieve a Bachelor Degree in Contemporary Music. She also completed her HSC at AIM High, graduating with honours.

Natalie never stops performing and throughout her young career Natalie has competed in numerous competitions all over NSW. She holds the title of the "MATS Junior Performer of The Year 2004". An award she wears with pride.

That same year, Natalie was chosen as a special guest performer at the 2004 "MO" Awards Ceremony held at the Entertainment Centre, Sydney. Where she recieved a standing ovation from an audience of one thousand entertainers and guests.

Natalie's T.V appearances include channel 9's 'The Footy Show' and Channel 7's 'Sunrise'. In 2005 she was chosen to perform The Australian National Anthem at a Rugby Union Test match between Australia and South Africa. Held at Telstra Stadium, Sydney. Where she sang for a world wide audience of millions.

In 2008, Natalie won the title of 'Contemporary Singer of The Year' in the McDonalds Performing Arts Challenge. Proudly presented by the Sydney Eisteddfod. Natalie was awarded The Robert & Elizabeth Albert Award of $4,000. A recording prize at Tiger Sound, valued at $2,500 and a photography portfolio courtesy of Barnaby Photography.

When most cover bands plug in mp3 devices to create backing tracks and beats, what makes Nathan’s Place unique is that they play completely live. Their drummer uses an electronic kit which allows them total control over volume. You can’t appreciate a band more than seeing them play their instruments live. A small minimum area of 4m x 4m are all the band requires to perform.

Although Nathan’s Place perform covers, you’ll be amazed by their own original interpretations of some songs. They might even throw in 1 or 2 of their own compositions just to surprise you.

Night Version grew from the embers of the highly successful 80’s tribute show, Stand and Deliver. Formed by singer Jay Bowen, a successful actor; keyboardist Matty Ray, of Mandy Kane fame; and popular guitarist Rip Wild. Together they envisioned a band that would leave out the tried candy floss of cover band entertainment, that would perform music of integrity for which they knew there existed a large audience - of those that craved The Cure, David Bowie, The Presets, Joy Division, The Smiths, Depeche Mode, The Dandy Warhols, The Kings Of Leon, The Presets and so on.

They were fortunate to find Nick Rave, a versatile multi-instrumentalist and song writer from London, who following a stint with Babyshambles was travelling though Melbourne with a punk outfit, which he soon left, taking up bass. They were later joined by Aaron Muscara a highly experienced drummer, of the band Xcite who slotted into the line up effortlessly.

Unsurprisingly success has come early for the band who were chosen to support Grace Jones in the opening of the Elandra Resort in North Queensland. BIOGRAPHY

Nocna Smjena (Noch-na Smyen-a) -as a collective of talented musicians- has made an extensive musical journey to their current status as a leading exponent of the Croatian tambura in Australia.

The band -whose name Nocna Smjena is the English translation for Night Shift- include the members Andrew Koranic, Domagoj Dedic, Stjepan Mlakar and Julian Markusic. All four have immersed themselves in the rich folk tradition of the Croatian tambura.

They have found among themselves a group of technically proficient and dedicated players able to belt out the intense and frenetic sounds of kolo (circle dance) inspired arrangements, to the softer ballads and folk songs that highlight an impressive range in sound, and impeccable variations in playing and timing.

This folk immersion is fairly evident when looking at the backgrounds of each individual member, likened to a tambura gene pool. There is a rich musical pedigree that exists within Nocna Smjena and is almost exclusively dedicated to these stringed Croatian instruments. There is a combined playing experience of over 40 years between the four. Only then do you start to scratch the surface of talent and passion on display.

Andrew, whose great-grandfather Franjo Kranjec was instrumental in introducing the tambura to the Slavonian town of Zupanja and surrounding areas, is testimony to that tambura pedigree. This is mirrored in Domagoj's experience with his grandfather, Stanko Filkovic, a renowned musical professor in the town of Jastrebarsko.

Andrew and Domagoj have maintained regular correspondence with their respective 'maternal townships', which has seen them develop an inherent love for Croatian folk music from an impressionable age. Both Andrew and Dom play the basprim, entwining between chordal harmonies and blistering melodies.

Andrew is the arranger of these traditional pieces and has cleverly put his own signature for the individual parts. He also was a part of a tambura pilgrimage in his travels to Croatia where he fronted for a tambura group known as Contra. He, like the others, maintains that it (tambura) is simply, 'in the blood.'

Dom is the pivotal vocalist whose rich baritone voice accompanies the intense melodic drive. Domagoj was a key member of Vagabond, a folk group that established recognition in the Australian/Croatian community a few years back.

Not overlooking the rhythmic heartbeat that is Nocna Smjena, Stjepan and Julian have also had similar origins in their quest of musical discovery. Steve is a classically trained pianist whose father (Duro Mlakar) instilled in him a passion for Croatian folk as a performer for the groups "Veseli Hrvati" and later on "Slavonski Tamburasi". For Steve, like the others in Nocna Smjena, it has truly been a life long passion.

Julian is also an integral part of the quartet and his love for Latin American rhythms has meant an ideal slot as the kontra player, playing in tandem with Stjepan's berda (bass). At one stage Julian was the leader of "Zvonimir", an established tambura orchestra at the Springvale Croatian Catholic Centre.

In a wider context, this quartet is dedicated in promoting Croatian musical culture and the eclectic sounds of the region at large. Their repertoire not only covers the distinct provincial sounds of the Croatian landscape- notably the Slavonian, Dalmatian provinces and the Bosnian region- but also Hungarian and Romanian styles moulding into Gypsy influences.

Classical and Oriental love ballads are also a feature of the quartet as is the always popular Latin American rhythms, eloquently constructed for such fine stringed instruments.

Undoubtedly the four have come a long way and toiled in their ambition to establish themselves as an independent playing entity. The band has carefully cultivated an independent approach to their music, which is somewhat of a rarity in the Australian/Croatian community. Normally folk groups are represented within community centres, with traditional dance being the centrepiece of the performances.

Nocna Smjena, however, is a different variety. This is once reflected in their compositional arrangements of famous traditional pieces, which have been slightly altered in some instances to breathtaking effect.

They are not afraid at pitching such delightful sounds to mainstream audiences either. They were the first 'tamburasi' to play at Il Primo, a well known Lygon Street restaurant popular amongst jazz fans. Similarly they were the first Croatian tambura band to perform at Hilton on the park, Melbourne Australia.

We are a group of seasoned players who in our past lives, have gigged around the country and overseas. Our Name, Not Dead Yet – borrowed from a Styx song – declares that we remember the sixties and seventies and just like the music from those golden years we are still going strong! Our fondness for classis rock and pop has brought us together, and that is what we play, affectionately and authentically – with a sprinkling of more contemporary material too. Our sound is defined by David and Philip’s twin guitars and Harvey and Phil’s Rhythmic foundations, with Jeanel’s keyboards adding colour. Out front Jeanel’s lead vocals are augmented by Harvey and David. Our gigs have ranged from landmark outdoor events which as Wintersun and the Rockin’ Tewantin to the Tongue & Groove Cafe in Brisbane’s funky West End – plus a few 50th birthday parties. Starting out in 2002 as a cross-dressing acoustic duo, they’ve evolved into a fast-paced rock band that always leaves the crowd wanting more. Entertainment is their primary focus, with a highly energetic performance and massive production. These guys do it because they love it! The ‘Snood cover a huge range of music, including all the top 40 rock hits, and classic songs from U2 to Metallica! We don’t play DJ music… but if it has massive guitars and drums we’ll play it!!!

We joined in the April of 2007, and we have done a few songs and they are apparently awesome... and we consist of a few members: D. Graves (Vocals), Millie Dark (Drummer), K-Lahh (Bass), Larinamous (Lead Elec. Guitar) R. Graves (Backup Vocals/Rythm Guitar).

The BEST originals/cover band on the north coast of NSW...fronted by NICKY who at 18 is the most gifted and talented singer songwriter in the caper...along with her partner in crime KIMMY who adds a classy dimension with her angelic voice and charisma. Other members are DALE,ADRIAN and LEE who between them have over 35 years experience on the north coast and are the driving force for this slick outfit...The overall sound is a cross between Dixie Chicks,B52's,Alanis M,and Michelle Branch....and the ORIGINALS seem to carry this flavour as well.

"The Night Before" are a professional entertaining good-time three-piece rock'n'roll band, based in Bathurst (NSW Australia). Between us, we've probably got somewhere in the vicinity of 45+ years worth of live and studio musical experience. We're all multi-instrumentalists, and basically really enjoy playing together. We all come from different musical backgrounds, with differing musical tastes and appreciations - that's what makes The Night Before such a dynamic and diverse group. We've released a Demo CD album, "The Milltown Tapes", and are working towards our first studio album by July 2009.
