Jason Kemp is deceptively more than just a country music artist. And not just because he is Australian. His music bears all of the hallmarks of classic Nashville production both in terms of arrangement and style but this is no mere attempt at emulating a particular style of music. Very much in the same way that Janis Joplin sang the blues, Jason Kemp is very reverent towards his country music influences without ever falling into the trap of becoming a tribute to American country. His records are are very well produced, the musicianship is all first-class yet there is a very much Australian edge to some of the humor he infuses into his lyrics. Country music has always been primarily about telling stories and this is something that Jason Kemp is very good at. His influences range from the classic country of George Jones and Johnny Cash to new country like Garth Brooks and Vince Gill all the way through to heavier fare like Pearl Jam and Metallica. A very eclectic mix indeed! He began playing music at an early age via the well trodden route of piano lessons and later went on to teach himself to play the guitar. Often over the years, his career has not traveled in a straight line but rather has been a meandering road of twists and turns. Jasper is an exciting duo recently relocated to Melbourne from Brisbane. With a unique blend of acoustic rock & pop Jasper have broad appeal, from weddings and parties right through to the Saturday night pub dance crowd. Lead singer Jo Cotsonis is a great performer with 10 years of classical training and experience singing a range of musical styles throughout Melbourne. She is always keen to get the crowd involved and is guaranteed to give 110% at each show. Dean McKeown provides solid backing as lead guitarist, with many years experience playing in some of the most popular bands in central NSW. Dean also handles the business side of running the band.

Jericho was founded in 2008 by Singer Geoff Taylor and guitarist Jase Byrne. Based in Brisbane, Geoff and Jase had already been playing together as a duo for quite some time in many clubs around south east Queensland, and decided it was time to kick it up a notch and get a full rockin band on the road.

Armed with their passion for good pub rock and good country rock, they found a drummer and have hit the road running. Already a successful duo, Geoff and Jase used their reputation to launch the band firstly in the city of Toowoomba where they enjoy a good following and never fail to please the crowd or the pub management with their unswerving ability to play the right music to the right crowd and keep the patrons in the venue.

Geoff and Jase have been known to play over 3 hours straight in order to keep the crowd in the venue. These guys understand that every crowd is different and craft each show accordingly. Their ability to read the crowd, interact with them and give them what they want, has established them as the number one covers band in Toowoomba.

Their choice of music and dedication to always giving 110% in every show made them so popular with one hotel in that Jericho is now exclusive to the Shamrock Hotel in Toowoomba.

Not only do they play the right songs, and play them well, but they also use quality PA equipment to help deliver the best possible sound at every gig. Powered by Mackie speakers, their sound quality is second to none at this level of entertainment.

Geoff Taylor/Singer/Bass Guitarist

Geoff has been in the entertainment industry since he started performing for friends in primary school. An orphan found on the steps of a Tibetan monastery in the snowy mountains, Geoff knew he was destined to play music from the time he purchased his first kazoo.

Advancing quickly to the triangle and tambourine, Geoff soon had his sites set on the guitar as an instrument to hide behind. Singing came on after a nasty lawn bowls accident when Geoff was mistaken for the jack.

After months of emotional therapy, Geoff discovered he could remember all the words to such songs as Hotel California and Sultans of swing. This ensured Geoff the singers position in any band since no-one else could remember the words and the music at the same time.


Jase Byrne/ Guitarist

Jase was originally thought to be an illegitimate child of Eddie Van Halen, but this was soon discarded as a myth once he picked up a guitar. One story tells of a man who appeared in an opal mine in Lightning Ridge one hot summers day with a guitar in hand and a sign that read, "Nashville or Bust".. No one knows where he came from or where he went. But we like to think it was Jase......

With a love of good rock and good country rock, Jase whales out the notes like a freight train bound for glory and running late. Jase was once interviewed by an out of work possum hunter and was asked what he likes most about playing in a rock band. "I'm just waiting for the chickens to hatch" Jase replied!

Nonetheless, armed with his Fender Tele, a pick and a whole lot of talent in a can (Jim Beam) Jase adds a whole new dimension to the music and backing vocals of Jericho.

Matthew Owen/Drummer

Matt was the original drummer for The Beatles way back in 1960 before they became famous. However, on his way home from a gig at the cavern, Matt walked into a quantum singularity and was swept through a time rift that left him stranded in 2006.

With nothing but his drumsticks in hand, he worked 8 days a week and the occasional hard day’s night as a bumper sticker licker in order to make ends meet until he could re-establish himself on the rock scene.

With his passion for hard hitting rhythm, Matt literally plays till he bleeds and then some. He is undoubtedly the driving force behind Jericho.

Jester came together in January 2002 and started 8 months of solid rehearsal, they wanted a "show" not a another band playing covers for money. THE JEDD HOBB BAND IS AN ENERGETIC 4 PIECE OUTFIT WHO HAVE BEEN PLAYING AROUND THE SOUTHCOAST & SOUTHWESTERN AREAS OF NSW FOR 15 YEARS.SONGS RANGE FROM TODAYS SONGS TO OLD KRUSTY CLASSICS THAT APPEAL TO ALL TASTES & AGES.

We are a 2-piece covers band with various rhythm machines. We play Blues, Country, Pop, Rock 'n' Roll. We guarranteed to get all people up and dancing (or at least tapping their toes and fingers and singing along). We do have appropriate music styles for enjoyable eating and weddings also.

We each play many various types of instruments, such as: acoustic and electric guitars, 5 and 6-string electric bass guitars, harmonica, keyboards, violin, lead and backing vocals. We also use a drum machine, midi files and sometimes resort to no drums (for dinner music). We write and modify our own midis.

Jordi from Hysteria, and Paul from Scat come together to form a neat little acoustic duo, playing everything from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and Top 40 chart toppers.

The Junkrats started as a 3 piece band with Aaron Maggs playing Bass, Nick Angeli on Guitar and Ben Speechley on Drums to kill time by playing the 3 songs they knew repeatedly until the neighbours finally told them to shut the fuck up! It was then when Nick came in with a 40 second song and then another one after that, then Aaron wrote one and another one after that then it snowballed from there.
