We are a five piece band covering 80's classic rock to all the best new rock/pop. We have been recently been playing gigs in the Ballarat area at pubs/clubs and the occasional party. We have a female vocalist as well as a male vocalist. All in the band are very dedicated and experienced as well as easy going and fun. We do a wide range of rock music. We're a singer, 2 guitars, bass and drums. Lots of classic rock like Stones & Beatles, but have a healthy number of newer numbers and certainly love our nineties alt-rock like pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Foo Fighters. Have a fair number of crowd pleasers in there too like Blister in the Sun, What I like about you, and 500 Miles. Some good classic Aussie rock too. Set list is about 50 songs and growing. We've been making a concerted effort to stick to keep things upbeat. We all have other jobs and do this for fun. Don't mind getting a bit of dosh for a gig, but have been known to help out with charity events for any hire costs and a couple beers.

Since then the band has made a number of changes to their line up with inclusion of a keyboard and new lead guitarist. Founded by former J Babies front man Dave Thomas, and including members from some of Perth’s very best bands, The High Beams are a bright light in the Perth Band scene.
